Parrish’s illustrated endpapers, exquisite colour illustrations throughout, including 14 full-page plates and 9 in-text vignettes. Spine a trifle sunned, a few light scuffs, binding sound with some slight separation at gutter of p. 26, contents clean and unmarked; in remarkably crisp and bright condition.
 This is the holy grail of Parrish’s children’s books, and one of the great achievements in American childrens’ book publishing history. Parrish took great joy illustrating this book, which was produced in richly saturated colour on fine quality paper. (#041043)        $750.00 USD
